Scope of practice carried out by WNM and WL
Faculty of Medicine (WL)
Information
Representative of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Professional Practice, Dr n. med. Beata Klincewicz.
Vocational training includes the development of professional skills in the amount of: 600 hours.
The scope of the internship covers 20 weeks:
- 1st year – Patient care 4 weeks
- 2nd year – Primary health care (family medicine) 3 weeks
- 2nd year – Emergency care 1 week
- 3rd year – Internal Medicine 4 weeks
- 4th year – Pediatrics 2 weeks
- 4th year – Surgery 2 weeks
- 5th year – Gynecology and obstetrics 2 weeks
- 5th year – Intensive therapy for 2 weeks
Faculty of Medical Sciences (WNM)
Physiotherapy
In the field of physiotherapy, uniform master’s degree studies, professional practice is carried out in a total of 1,560 hours, divided into:
- assistantship internship – carried out during the holidays in July, August or September (150 hours) ‒ 5 ECTS (carried out after the 2nd semester of studies);
- kinesiotherapy internship (300 hours) ‒ 11 ECTS (carried out in the 5th and 6th semester of studies);
- internship in clinical physiotherapy, physical therapy and massage (200 hours) – 8 ECTS (carried out in the 7th semester of studies);
- profiled internship – optional (400 hours) -14 ECTS (carried out after the 8th semester of studies during the holidays and during the 9th semester);
- internship in clinical physiotherapy, physical therapy and massage (510 hours) ‒ 20 ECTS (carried out during the 10th semester).
