In the field of education sciences, the influence of postmodernism is still palpable. As a result, there is a rejection of universally understood truth, denial of reality in reality, blurring of causal relationships between events, contestation and breaking new ground in the crisis of values, the decline of authority, and responding to questions with other questions. Deconstruction is paramount. In postmodernism, everything is fluid and relative, subject to fashion. Postmodernists are strongly skeptical of truth, confusing it with knowledge. They are aided in this by programmatic ambivalence, philosophical anti-foundationalism, and methodological abstractionism. The postmodernist interpretation of research results can serve only to justify prevailing opinions and viewpoints, rather than to discover objective or absolute truth. It is necessary to restore values to education and the sciences related to it, and to give them their proper meaning. Education and the sciences should be more firmly based on reliable facts and their investigation. This will be a response to the relativistic chaos and uncertainty created by postmodernism, where one version of the truth is as good as the next.

From the preface by Prof. Andrzej Radziewicz-Winnicki

All reflections and observations that arise in readers after reading Kazimierz Denek's new book will be very important and should – as I deeply believe – lead to a positive contemplation and profound respect for the author's years of dedicated work. The credo of the briefly signaled achievements of Professor Kazimierz Denek is reduced to the emphasized conviction that the modern academic teacher – a member of the university community – is not only a representative of the world of science but also has numerous and significant didactic obligations. Our author is thus a scholar with a passion for knowledge and a dedicated educator. By offering you this book, I hope it will inspire a restructuring of the traditional ideology and often provincial state found in our higher education system, consciously leading towards modernity, tolerance, pluralism, and democratization of knowledge, while avoiding fiction, distortions, or the repetition of established canons.
