Administracja publiczna w Europie małych ojczyzn
From the Foreword by Prof. UWr Dr. Habil. Karol Kiczka
The topic of public administration has long been a fundamental and enduring area of interest within legal sciences, particularly administrative law and the study of administration. This is duly reflected in the educational content provided for fields of study such as law and administration. However, this topic is also of additional interest to researchers and practitioners outside of jurisprudence, as this volume particularly demonstrates. The papers included in this publication primarily stem from the International Scientific Conference – “Public Administration in Europe’s Small Homelands,” held in Poznań on June 5-6, 2008, and organized by the Higher School of Pedagogy and Administration named after Mieszko I in Poznań.
The presented contributions focus on the organizational and operational aspects of public administration under current constitutional conditions. They address not only selected issues of national and EU law but also seek to illuminate specific phenomena from the perspective of the respective scientific disciplines or observations derived from the practice of public administration. The diverse nature of the components in this volume confirms that public administration, as a construct of substantive law and the surrounding legal experience, has been and can be of interest from many angles.
