In an era of ongoing civilizational changes, state organs play a significant role. Their importance becomes particularly pronounced in international relations. The issue of diplomatic missions falls within the realms of international law, diplomatic law, and consular law. These are among the oldest fields of law, with their foundations rooted in the early stages of human civilization. The necessity for cooperation between states to improve their existence, as well as the unavoidable need in those times to defend one's interests and rights, and, over the years, the pursuit of peaceful coexistence, have necessitated the establishment of certain consistent principles of cooperation and coexistence respected by all participants in this community.

The observed gradual, often extremely slow development of principles and norms of international law concerning both international, diplomatic, and consular law has been a sort of "mirror" reflecting the existing situation among international law subjects operating on its arenas simultaneously. In the contemporary world, fraught with numerous and increasingly dangerous threats to states, yet simultaneously striving for integration and broader mutual cooperation, where states are active on many often opposing fronts, and where the process of globalization is ubiquitous, it is essential to delve into the fundamentals of international law, including diplomatic law.

The fundamental task of states is to respect the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter concerning peaceful coexistence, dialogue, cooperation, mutual assistance, and, above all, the resolution of any conflicts through mutual dialogue and the use of peaceful instruments available at the time.
