Concern for the proper quality of education and upbringing requires, first and foremost, assigning the appropriate rank to teacher training. Therefore, we are faced with the necessity of reforming the system of teacher education, in-service training, and professional development as a basis for educational change. It is essential to continually acquire knowledge about educational reforms and to make efforts to expand the imagination of those responsible for shaping proposed changes and evaluating their outcomes.

On one hand, it offers a concise, factual overview of fundamental problems connected by a common theme; on the other hand, it provides, in a broad context, a reminder and a highly accurate critique of the widespread deficiencies related to the discussed issues. What is invaluable is that the Author, with profound expertise, proposes and justifies ways to properly address the shortcomings of our current education system, aiming to match the European standards.
