We give to the readers the second, expanded edition of the multi-author monograph entitled Selected problems of psychosocial functioning of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. Prevention - diagnosis - therapy. We are submitting it for publication almost three years after the first edition of the publication devoted to the issues of prevention, diagnosis and therapy of adolescents and children who, due to various biological and social handicaps, become helpless and powerless in the face of the problems posed to them by the adult world. The interest and favorable reception of the book by the Readers became an inspiration for further research on the possibilities of effectively assisting and supporting the development of young people. The emergence of new trends in popular culture, the increasing mediatization of society, the increase in the pace of life, the changes that are taking place in the modern family, the transformations in the educational system, curriculum reform, the intensity of the problems and difficulties experienced by today's children and adolescents, makes us constantly reflect on issues related to both pedagogical prevention and diagnosis, as well as therapy, and the constant search for effective solutions.
