Przydatki skóry. Wybrane zagadnienia, red. Wiesław H. Trzeciak
The Skin Appendages monograph includes five studies and presents
the morphology, physiology and physiopathology of the skin appendages with references
to general diseases, as well as to the most common
skin diseases. The sketches take into account the latest research from both
theoretical sciences: anatomy, physiology, histology,
general pathology and immunology or immunochemistry and immunogenetics, as well as in
clinical medicine. The importance of the monograph is enhanced by the fact that it was
compiled by qualified specialists - both theoreticians,
as well as practitioners, dealing with these problems for years and forming
small "schools of dermatology" around them, which educate and
specialize young cadres in these fields. The content of the monograph,
also taking into account the greatest achievements of such a young science as
cosmetology, is intended to be a bridge between general medicine, dermatology and
practical cosmetology. The appendages of the skin, namely: hair, nails,
sebaceous glands and eccrine and apocrine sweat glands, directly
or indirectly, are the focus of cosmetology and practical cosmetics.
practical cosmetics. For this reason, as well as due to the lack of
of such studies on the book market so far, one should
applaud this initiative of the Higher School of Pedagogy and Administration
The University of Pedagogy and Administration. Mieszka I in Poznań and recommend this monograph to beauticians,
cosmetologists and dermatologists, as well as physicians - general and
representing various specialties - as well as to students of the aforementioned majors.
