Jakub T. Białachowski, Jadwiga M. Kowalewska, Kinezyterapia praktyczna w schorzeniach narządów ruchu
There are many books on kinesitherapy on the publishing market, but most of them contain only theoretical knowledge, while there is a lack of a publication useful in direct work with patients, serving as a practical guide, accompanying the physiotherapist on a daily basis. The challenge of creating such a study was taken up by Jakub T. Bialachowski and Jadwiga M. Kowalewska. They share the sum total of the experience they have gained by restoring the fitness of patients for several decades at the Institute of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation of the Medical Academy in Poznan, as well as by training students at physiotherapy faculties.Practical kinesitherapy in musculoskeletal disorders was conceived as a series, which is initiated by this volume, bearing the subtitle Methodology of examination and evaluation of the patient for the purposes of kinesitherapy. It contains several hundred original illustrations, depicting in detail the workings of the skeletal and muscular systems and demonstrating diagnostic tests to be performed with the patient. The material is presented in an accessible but comprehensive manner, allowing both students and practicing physiotherapists with specific training to use the publication. The easy-to-read layout and functional binding mean that the necessary information can always remain within sight, facilitating smooth and more efficient work. All this determines that Practical Kinesitherapy in musculoskeletal disorders is likely to become a must-have item in the collection of every physiotherapist.
