This volume presents the results of the first congress of the International Union of German Languages (ISPRUD). It contains the revised papers of the conference (September 2012 in Poznan / Poland) on the topic: Germany: Heritage and the Present.At the congress, people discussed the prospects for the development of the organizations ISPRUD and VDS in the context of the popularization of the German language, as well as various aspects of German-speaking culture in the following three sections: Literature and Film, Linguistics and Methodology in Germany, and the humanities.In the ISPRUD program, we want to avoid the “big” politics, including the past, and not always desirable, and instead of a “wall”, we want to build a network of interpersonal and intercultural “bridges”.
