Andrzej Malinowski, Repetytorium z anatomii człowieka. Cz. 1. Układ kostny i mięśniowy
The Anatomy Review is a concise overview of the basic structures of the human body. Currently, anatomy forms a significant foundation for the education of not only doctors, biologists (especially anthropologists), physical education specialists, and psychologists, but also for representatives of various, often entirely new fields of study: cosmetology, physiotherapy, nursing, emergency medical services, medical biology, and even ergonomics. These fields cover specific areas of anatomy with a similar level of detail, and it is difficult to recommend the excellent yet very comprehensive textbooks by A. Bochenek and M. Reicher, T. Marciniak, and many later, detailed works by other authors for all these disciplines. They certainly deserve a place in the private collections of those with broader interests in morphology. For the general public, basic knowledge contained in fewer compendiums is sufficient. Our review is a completely basic book, one might say 'pocket-sized,' for those who need, besides standard, comprehensive textbooks, some condensed information useful for reviewing fundamental anatomy knowledge.
From the review by Prof. UAM Dr. Habil. Blandyna Jerszyńska:
[…] The book "Anatomy Review of the Human Body, Part I: Skeletal and Muscular Systems," although it does not contain the exceptional level of detail found in most more extensive academic textbooks (which was not the Author's intention), is characterized by a high standard. The title itself suggests its purpose – for revision – and thus its level of detail and depth is sufficient primarily for students of biological fields but also for related disciplines. It is worth noting the ease of finding complete anatomical terminology (both Polish and Latin names) and definitions accepted in this discipline.
