Decisions on applications for the summer semester will be available for pickup after the Scholarship Committee completes its work. The collection date will be announced on the University's website.

The Scholarship Committee informs that scholarships in the current academic year are awarded for each semester separately - that is, for 5 months at a time. Applications for the next semester can be submitted from March.

      Note: scholarship benefits are not available:

    - Students with a professional degree of Master of Science, Master of Engineering or equivalent;

    - Bachelor's degree, engineer's degree or equivalent, if he or she is re-entering a first degree program.

    Benefits are available for a maximum of 12 semesters *, regardless of whether the student has received a scholarship or not - the number of semesters started counts.

    Within this period, benefits are provided for studies:

     First degree - for no more than 9 semesters;

    econd degree - for no more than 7 semesters.

    You can only collect the scholarship in one field of study. It is illegal to collect benefits in a second field of study.
    * The total period of eligibility for scholarship benefits is longer if the student has taken a single master's degree program, the duration of which, as specified by law, is 11 or 12 semesters.

      What conditions?

    Rector's scholarship for academic performance

    The arithmetic mean of the grades used as the basis for the application for all fields of study at PAM is 4.75, except for the fields of study implemented at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, where the mean of the grades used as the basis for the application for the rector's scholarship is 4.30.

    Social scholarship

    It is granted to students whose family income per person in the household does not exceed the amount of PLN 1294.40. A student whose monthly income per person in the family does not exceed the amount of the income criterion for applying for social assistance benefits (from January 1, 2022. - PLN 600 net per person in the family and PLN 776 for a single farmer), attaches to the application for a social assistance grant a certificate from a social assistance center on his and his family's income and asset situation. Failure to attach such a certificate will result in a refusal to grant a social scholarship. 

           What forms of support can a student apply for?

          • social scholarship,

          • scholarship for disabled persons,

          • financial aid,

          • rector's scholarship.

           Can foreign students apply for a scholarship?

          Students without Polish citizenship who began their studies in Poland in the 2019/2020 academic year or later may apply for:
          - rector's scholarship,
          - a scholarship for the disabled, 
          - a financial aid.
           Foreign students who:
          1. have a permanent residence permit or are long-term residents of the EU,
          2. have a temporary residence permit in connection with the circumstances referred to in Article 159 paragraph 1 or Article 186 paragraph 1 point 3, or 4 of the Law on Foreigners,
          3. have refugee status granted in the Republic of Poland or enjoy temporary protection or subsidiary protection in the territory of the Republic of Poland,
          4. have a certificate attesting to their knowledge of Polish as a foreign languageat
           least at the C1 language proficiency level,
          5. have a Card of the Pole or a decision on determination of Polish origin,
          6. are the spouse, ascendant or descendant of a citizen of the Republic of Poland, living in the territory of the Republic of Poland.

            When can I apply for a scholarship?

          Application deadlines and current downloadable application forms can be found on the university's website after the start of each subsequent academic year. In the table, you will find the application schedule for each course of study for the winter semester in the 2023/24 academic year.

             Where can I apply for a scholarship?

          Applications can be submitted to the dean's office at 55 Bulgarska Street in Poznań, to the relevant dean's offices of the local faculties, or sent (after scanning and saving as a pdf file, with all required signatures) to the following email address: stypendia.zapomogi@pam.poznan.pl

            Can the applications be filled out electronically, or must they be filled out by hand?

          The application can be filled out electronically, however, it must be signed by hand.

          I have completed my bachelor's/master's degree. Am I eligible for any of the scholarships?

          Benefits are available for first-cycle, second-cycle and unified master's degree programs for up to 12 semesters (see section.) 
          Benefits are not available to a student with a professional degree: 
          (a) Master's degree, Master of Engineering or equivalent; 
          (b) bachelor's degree, engineer's degree or equivalent, if he or she is re-entering a first degree program.
          According to Article 93, paragraph 4 of the Law on Higher Education of July 20, 2018. (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, 1088, 1234, 1672, 1872.), the maximum period in which a student is entitled to benefits is 12 semesters (semesters in which the student did not receive a grant also count).  
          For first-degree studies, the maximum period is 9 semesters, second degree a - 7 semesters.

          The total period referred to in paragraph 4 shall be longer by 2 semesters if the student has taken a unified master's degree program, the duration of which, as prescribed by law, is 11 or 12 semesters
           Can you have more than one scholarship at the same time?

          Yes, you can collect a rector's stipend, a social stipend and a stipend for the disabled at the same time, but you cannot collect the same type of stipend (such as a rector's stipend) at two (or more) majors or universities at the same time. 

          Do I have to reapply for the scholarship in the summer semester?

          Yes. The application schedule for the second semester will appear at the beginning of the summer semester.

           Is there financial assistance due to chronic illness?

          If a student is in a difficult financial situation due to a long-term illness (or for other reasons), he/she may apply for a one-time aid payment.

           When studying two majors at the same time, is it possible to receive a scholarship in each?

          No, the scholarship is only for one field of study.

           Can a negative scholarship decision be appealed?

          Yes, the student has the right to file an appeal with a justification, and a copy of the Scholarship Committee's decision. Appeals can be submitted in room 200 at Bulgarska 55 in Poznan, in the relevant dean's offices of the departments abroad, or sent (after scanning and saving in a pdf file, with all required signatures) to the email address: stypendia.zapomogi@pam.poznan.pl

           How do I find out if I have been assigned a scholarship?

          A list of the Scholarship Committee's decisions will be posted on the university's website under “Scholarships and discounts” and in the news. Decisions can be picked up at the dean's office at Bulgarska 55 in Poznań, at the relevant dean's offices of foreign departments. At the request of the student submitted via e-mail (at: stypendia.zapomogi@pam.poznan.pl)The Commission may send a scan of the decision electronically in justified cases. 

            When can I expect the stipend to be paid?

          The first tranche of funds will be transferred to the student's designated bank account after the Scholarship Committee's decision is announced on the university's website. The first transfer will include repayment from the beginning of the academic year - i.e. if, for example, the first transfer is in the student's account in November, the student will receive the total amount for October and November.

           Is the stipend available during dean's leave?

          During the leave of absence, the student retains the right to receive social, disability and rector's scholarships.

           If I get a social grant, can I apply for an allowance?

          Yes, the use of other forms of support is not an obstacle to applying for the aid.

           In what situations are you eligible for an allowance?

          The aid may be granted to a student who, for fortuitous reasons, is temporarily in a difficult financial situation, due to, among other things: an accident, a serious illness documented by a medical certificate, the death of a member of the immediate family, a theft committed to the student's detriment, a natural disaster (flood, fire).

           How often can I apply for the allowance?

          A student may receive two financial aid payments during the academic year.

           Under what conditions can a student be considered self-supporting and apply for a social grant without taking into account the income of the family or legal guardians?

          A student may be considered a self-supporting person and apply for a social grant without taking into account the income of the family or legal guardians if he or she meets at least one of the following conditions:

          1. has reached the age of 26,
          2. is married,
          3. has dependent minor children, children receiving education up to the age of 26, and if the 26th year falls in the last year of study, until their graduation, and children with disabilities regardless of age,
          4. has reached the age of majority while in foster care,
          5. has a regular source of income and his average monthly income in the previous tax year (2020) and in the current year (2021) in the months preceding the month of submission of the Statement of Income is higher than or equal to 1.15 of the sum of the amounts specified in Articles 5(1) and 6(2)(3) of the Act of November 28, 2003 on family benefits (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 390, as amended), hereinafter referred to as the Family Benefits Act (in Polish only - https://isap.sejm.gov.pl/isap.nsf/download.xsp/WDU20032282255/U/D20032255Lj.pdf), tj. 930,35 PLN (netto).
