We run the faculty of philology in both modes: full-time ( full-time) and part-time ( extramural)

six semesters

The study of Philology lasts six semesters (three years).

The direction includes the specialty of English Philology. Philology graduates will have a near-native proficiency in the language of the specialty at a level of at least C1 (according to the ESOC). Fluency in the language will be complemented by knowledge of learning and teaching a foreign language, as well as knowledge of the literature, history and culture of the country of the specialty language. The acquired knowledge and interdisciplinary skills will allow graduates to work in the broadly defined legal and business sector in positions that require communication in a specialized language, including intercultural competence and basic knowledge.

English Philology Legal and Business Specialization

The graduate acquires knowledge and competencies useful in the business environment, where communication in a foreign language plays a significant role. They are familiar with the principles of business operation and basic legal disciplines. Students complete a module of legal subjects and develop their communication skills in business language (both in the primary and additional language) in a particularly intensive manner. Practical skills are refined through internships at law firms, companies, or institutions with an international scope.

English philology teaching specialization

A graduate of the Bachelor's program in English Philology with a specialization in Teaching obtains the professional title of Bachelor. They possess proficiency in English across all skills in both spoken and written forms at the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, allowing them to use the foreign language fluently in both professional and non-professional contexts. The graduate has advanced knowledge in linguistics, literary studies, and the history and culture of English-speaking countries. In addition to linguistic knowledge, the graduate will also gain psychological and pedagogical preparation. The studies serve as a foundation upon which the graduate will further develop their qualifications in a Master's program. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science on teacher qualifications, effective from October 3, 2023, a specialist teacher may be a person who has completed both Bachelor's and Master's studies or a single-cycle Master's program.
