Identity is self-awareness, it combines characteristics, personal data that allow us to identify a person. In relation to a social group, it is an awareness of common characteristics and a sense of unity. Often we are asked by nice gentlemen (most often dressed in tasteful navy uniforms) for “proof of identity”. But this identity is something much deeper and more important than we think.
