SKN LARYNGOSCOPE MEETING
On Sunday, 18.09.2022, another meeting of SKN Laryngoscope members was held, aimed at recalling the ABCDE patient examination scheme, in accordance with the research philosophy: assess - but - re-evaluate. An inseparable element of each of our meetings is the "grinding" of soft skills, ie the preparation of members of the therapeutic team - division of tasks, closed-loop communication in the medical team, communication with the patient according to the mnemotechnical abbreviation SAMPLE.

Carrying out cardiopulmonary resuscitation in a 2-person team requires close cooperation between rescuers, keeping the time regime and thinking about priorities: quick diagnosis of NZK, start of proper chest compressions, and, provide defibrillator as soon as possible to recognize the mechanism of cardiac arrest and proper ventilation of the patient during CPR
Airway patency is a priority right behind the blockage of external hemorrhages - visible. Intubation of the trachea, or the introduction of an intubation tube under eye control, is a difficult procedure and requires considerable experience in its implementation. We talked about how to prepare for it, namely to have a plan A, B and C.

Patient examination according to the ABCDE scheme and collection of emergency medical history according to the SAMPLE abbreviation is aimed at making it easier for rescuers to work with the patient. Here's a simulation scene: a call for a bronchial asthma attack.

Even more stethoscopes ;-) The advanced phantom of the patient allows to hear with the help of a stethoscope auscultatory phenomena that we can deal with during the subject examination. The stethoscope is important, but the most important thing is what is between the olives. ;-)

Correct haemorrhage control is a priority during rescue operations, whether in the field of first aid or during medical rescue operations. In the photo visible procedure "wound packing" (wound packing).
