On 23 October 2026, seven second-year students from the Faculty of Medicine, accompanied by their year tutor, spent the whole day at Helios Klinikum Bad Saarow.
As part of this training trip, the students learnt about the organisation of this multi-specialist hospital and visited a number of wards.
At midday, Dr Marek Budner, who has been working at this hospital for many years, shared his experiences of breast reconstruction following a mastectomy.
This was the first visit of its kind to this medical centre, and further meetings are scheduled for the coming weeks.
