The official opening of the congress was initiated by Hanna Mojsiuk, President of the Northern Chamber of Commerce. The opening ceremony included an inaugural address by Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. The program also addressed issues related to innovation, investment, technological transformation, and cooperation between public institutions and the private sector.
From the perspective of the academic community, particular importance was attached to issues concerning security, crisis management, and the preparedness of institutions and society to respond to emergency situations. These areas require an interdisciplinary approach combining scientific knowledge, practical experience, and cooperation between public administration, emergency services, and expert communities.
The participation of Tomasz Kubiak, PhD in Health Sciences, Professor at the Academy, in the Baltic Economic Congress 2026 provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, explore different perspectives on contemporary security challenges, and develop contacts between the academic community and representatives of public administration and the economy.
The presence of a representative of the Poznań Medical Academy at an event of this significance highlights the importance of the Academy’s active participation in public debate and cooperation with its socio-economic environment, particularly in areas related to security, healthcare, and crisis management.
The Baltic Economic Congress 2026 provided an opportunity to discuss solutions that may contribute to strengthening security, developing institutional cooperation, and building the resilience of modern society.
