Dear Representatives of the Professional Association of Nurses and Midwives,

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Professional Association of Nurses and Midwives, on behalf of the academic community of the Prince Mieszko I Poznań Academy of Medical Sciences of Applied Sciences, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Regional Council of Nurses and Midwives in Poznań and to all nurses and midwives. Thirty-five years of the Association’s activity mark an important and wonderful anniversary. It also represents three and a half decades of work on behalf of the professional community, strengthening the position of nurses and midwives, raising professional standards, and ensuring the profession’s development and rightful place within the healthcare system. As an academic community that participates daily in the education of future healthcare professionals, we hold the Association’s achievements and its role in shaping the professional identity of successive generations of nurses and midwives in the highest regard. The members of the Regional Chamber of Nurses and Midwives are among the Faculty of Medical Sciences’ key external stakeholders. This is of particular importance to us, as the Faculty is responsible for educating nurses at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels. In the process of improving the quality of education, we listen closely to the professional community, treating its experience and constructive feedback as an important source of knowledge about the real needs of modern nursing. These comments serve as an important point of reference for us when analyzing and refining our degree programs so that they best meet the changing demands of professional practice, the healthcare system, and the expectations of nurses themselves. We particularly appreciate your consistency, responsibility, and commitment to the profession, as well as your constant concern for the quality of patient care and the professional development of its practitioners. On the occasion of this anniversary, I wish you continued success in your work, satisfaction with the initiatives you undertake, sound and wise decisions, and many reasons for professional pride. I also wish all nurses and midwives respect, recognition, and the sense that your daily work is noticed and properly appreciated. May the coming years bring further development to the Association, strengthen its position, and enable it to successfully carry out tasks that are important both for the professional community and for the entire healthcare system.

Sincerely,

Prof. Krzysztof Książek, M.D., Ph.D.
