Purpose of study

The aim of the postgraduate programme is to train specialists in the delivery of a wide range of health education programmes for children and adolescents. The programme is designed to provide the qualifications required to teach a subject or lead classes in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 25 July 2019 on the standards of teacher training for teachers of a second subject in primary and secondary schools.

Participants will gain up-to-date and specialist knowledge of health issues, enabling them to recognise these issues and take effective action should they arise. In addition, participants will acquire specialist knowledge in the field of prevention and health promotion.

Addresses

The programme is open to all graduates, regardless of their field of study (first-cycle, second-cycle or master’s degree), who are interested in health education, in particular teachers of health-related subjects, headteachers, psychologists, educationalists and others with an interest in health education.

Those planning to take up employment in educational institutions should have completed teacher training independently of this degree programme.

Curriculum

The programme comprises three semesters of study, consisting of:

  • 360 teaching hours
  • 90 hours of work experience

Classes are held in a hybrid format on average twice a month on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and online on the ZOOM platform.

  • engaging classes, designed to hone practical skills, which will also inspire you to further your knowledge independently, and an opportunity to broaden the scope of your career development prospects in the field of teaching,
  • The degree programme is tailored to the requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the qualifications obtained enable graduates to take up teaching posts in both state and non-state educational institutions.

Tuition fees: 15 instalments of 350 zł

The entry fee is 85 PLN
