Health and Safety at Work

Purpose of study

The aim of the postgraduate programme is to provide the specialist knowledge required to carry out tasks or conduct activities in the field of health and safety at work. Students will acquire knowledge and skills in the fields of occupational health and safety law, the organisation and management of occupational health and safety services, first aid, post-accident procedures, fire safety, and hazardous and harmful substances. The programme also includes practical workshops and training in the maintenance of post-accident records.

In accordance with the applicable regulations, graduates of the above-mentioned course will obtain the qualifications (required for employment in the occupational health and safety sector) to work in the following role:

• Senior Health and Safety Inspector.

Furthermore, depending on the duration of the work placement:

• a health and safety specialist (provided they have at least one year’s experience working in the health and safety service);
• a senior health and safety specialist (provided they have at least three years’ experience in the health and safety service);
• Chief Health and Safety Officer (provided they have at least five years’ experience in the health and safety service).

Upon completion of the course, graduates will be able to deliver health and safety training in accordance with teaching methodology principles and set up their own business.

Studia skierowane są do osób, które ukończyły studia (I, II stopień, magisterskie) dowolnym kierunku studiów zainteresowanych pracą w obszarze bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy. Studia mają charakter kwalifikacyjny.

Curriculum

The program includes 2 semesters of teaching, consisting of:

• 230 teaching hours

Classes are held in a hybrid format on average twice a month on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and online on the ZOOM platform.

Fees

Cost of study: 10 installments x 350 PLN

The entry fee is 85 PLN
