Physical Education with Corrective and Compensatory Gymnastics
Students will acquire in-depth knowledge and skills relating to the techniques and methodology of conducting corrective and compensatory exercise classes. Graduates of this specialisation will be able to teach corrective and compensatory gymnastics classes in, amongst other places, nurseries and primary schools.
The knowledge and skills acquired through the specialisation and the specialised module significantly broaden a physical education teacher’s professional repertoire.
Graduates may take up positions as physical education teachers in nursery and primary schools. As part of additional specialisations, they may teach corrective and compensatory gymnastics at physical education centres, in hotels, and at sports and training centres. They may also work as instructors in sports and leisure clubs and centres, or as youth workers in holiday camps for children and young people. Graduates of the Physical Education programme are equipped to set up, organise and run School Sports Clubs, where they can take on the roles of instructor, supervisor, organiser and activist.
