Prof. dr hab. n. med. Witold Szyfter

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical Academy of Poznań. Scientist, laryngologist, otolaryngologist and audiologist. Academic teacher. Long-time head of the Otolaryngology and Laryngological Oncology Clinic of the Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznań. Former national consultant in the field of otolaryngology.

Co-organizer and medical coordinator of the world’s largest Universal Hearing Screening Program for Newborns of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. In cooperation with the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center and the best European laryngology centers, for over a dozen years he has been organizing a project of “live” surgical operations, which can be followed on the Internet by doctors and medical students from over 60 countries. In 2014, for outstanding merits in professional and social work, the President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski awarded Witold Szyfter the Golden Cross of Merit.

In 2015, the professor received the title of Leader of Organic Work from the Hipolit Cegielski Society in Poznań.

Dr n. med. Leszek Niepolski

Nephrologist and researcher, his scientific interests include low molecular weight proteins and their role in patients with end-stage renal disease.

He worked at the Department and Institute of Physiology of the Poznań University of Medical Sciences. In 2019, he won the Amicus Studentium student poll for the most liked and respected UMP teacher. In 2020 – also at UMP – he won the Lecturer of the Year competition.

Since 2023, he has been a supervisor of a debuting, first-year medical student at PAM, where he teaches physiology. He has four children. He runs and swims. He appreciates Julio Cortázar and listens to Eminem. For years, he has been consistently delighted by the film “Out of Africa” ​​with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford.

Dr n. med. Sylwia Świdzińska

In the medical field at PAM she lectures in public health. Graduate of Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań. Pediatrician, rheumatologist. For many years she has been involved in the treatment of children, including those with systemic connective tissue diseases.

Manager and public health specialist. For 25 years she was the deputy director of the provincial pediatric hospital on Krysiewicza Street in Poznań. In her free time she swims, rides a bike, and recently she spends her holidays mostly in Poland.

Dr n. med. Beata Klincewicz

At PAM she conducts hygiene classes in hospital conditions and is the coordinator of student summer internships. A graduate of the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań. She has specializations in gastroenterology, pediatric gastroenterology and pediatrics. At the Wielkopolska Pediatrics Center at ul. Wrzoska she heads the Department

Dr hab. inż. Iwona Gołębiewska

Dr Iwona Gołębiewska, biochemist, researcher. At PAM she teaches biochemistry with elements of chemistry.

She graduated from the Poznań University of Technology and Aalborg University in Denmark at the same time. She defended her doctorate in biotechnology at the University of South Dakota. She continued her postdoctoral internship at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. There, she worked, among other things, on creating biorefineries. Together with scientists from all over the world, she designed a green city in the middle of the desert in the United Arab Emirates – the famous Masdar City, today inhabited by a population of 5 thousand people. Before returning to Poland, she worked as a professor at the Department of Applied Microbiology at the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium, conducting international research projects.

Dr Małgorzata Martyńska

English teacher, sworn translator, academic teacher. She graduated from the Faculty of Modern Languages ​​and completed doctoral studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, as well as, among others, the British Law and European Union Studies conducted by the University of Cambridge – Juris Angliae Scientia in cooperation with UAM.

He conducts training courses organized by the Association of Polish Translators. He also knows German and Spanish. At the Faculty of Medicine, PAM, he teaches Medical English.

Dr Grzegorz Bręczewski

At the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical Academy, he teaches elements of professionalism, therapeutic contact with the patient, and medical psychology. He also provides psychological support to students of the Faculty of Medicine.

He graduated in psychology from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (specialization: clinical psychology and health psychology) and in physical rehabilitation from the Eugeniusz Piasecki Academy of Physical Education in Poznań. He is the author of publications and monographs, mainly in the area of ​​rehabilitation and health psychology.

Dr hab. inż. Katarzyna Serwańska-Leja

Academic teacher, biotechnologist, supervisor of numerous master’s, engineering and bachelor’s theses. He teaches microbiology at the Poznań Medical Academy.

She graduated from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań, where she also obtained a doctorate at the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition. She has been awarded the Team Award of the Rector of the University of Life Sciences four times for “original and creative scientific achievements documented by publications”. She is the author of not only scientific and popular science works, but also the co-author of books, including Mózg, zmysły i czytawanie świata. Eseje anatomiczne o ptakach i mamach.

In her free time, she promotes science by running numerous workshops for primary and secondary school students. Her passion is sports, especially cycling.
