About the Aesthetic Medicine Center
History of the Aesthetic Medicine Center
In February 2017, the Aesthetic Medicine Centre was established by a resolution of the Senate of the Poznań Medical Academy named after Prince Mieszko I. Krzysztof Wachal, MD, PhD, was appointed the director of the unit. The main task of the newly established Centre was to create a platform and background for further development of the offer and teaching base of the university. As part of it, a new two-year postgraduate course was created – Aesthetic Medicine, addressed to medical doctors and dentists. One-year postgraduate studies addressed to cosmetologists: Cosmetic Podiatry. The programme of the courses includes cycles of theoretical classes and a number of non-invasive and invasive procedures, whose authors and lecturers are world and national authorities in the field of aesthetic medicine. We hope that the new offer will be met with great interest from future students, especially since all courses are a response to the dynamically developing market of commercial services in these specialisations, and PAM is the only university in Western Poland that can offer studies in this prestigious course.
