Anna Zbaraszewska, Aleksandra Zbaraszewska, Polsko-łacińsko-angielski glosariusz terminów anatomicznych
The "Polish-Latin-English Glossary of Anatomical Terms" contains specialized medical terminology across the following thematic areas:
- Skeletal system
- Cardiovascular system
- Nervous system
- Muscular system
- Digestive system
- Respiratory system
- Urinary system
- Reproductive system
- Endocrine system
- Senses
It is intended for a broad audience—doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who encounter specialized Latin and/or English terminology in their daily work.
This "Glossary" can also be a valuable resource for students in medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, health sciences, or physical culture, as well as for translators.
The format of the entries allows for quick identification of the Polish term equivalents in Latin and English. The decision was made not to include examples of collocations and characteristic expressions under the main entries.
The indexes of terms in Latin and English, found at the end of the "Glossary," enable—depending on the need—a quick search for the required term in the desired language combination. The glossary covers the most commonly used terms in human anatomy and should therefore be regarded as a compendium of specialized linguistic terminology.
We hope that the presented "Polish-Latin-English Glossary of Anatomical Terms" will contribute to enhancing the language skills of our readers, thereby facilitating their studies and, in the long term, their professional work.
