The beginning of the school year is behind us, kindergartens and schools are operating at full speed, but the ranks of teachers are shrinking year by year. Many of them are taking well-deserved retirements, others are deciding to change their career path. The Careers Office of our University systematically receives job offers for graduates with the appropriate qualifications to work in education. We have carefully looked at the advertisements posted on the website of the Education Board in Poznań.

On May 21-22, 2021, the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) conducted an inspection of the pedagogy course at the first and second cycle level at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the Mieszko I WSPiA in Poznań. The evaluation team was chaired by Dr. Hab. Anna Fidelus. Due to the restrictions related to the spread of the Sars-Cov-2 virus, the inspection was carried out remotely.

I have to admit that the medical profession has never been easy, the enormity of responsibility can be truly overwhelming. Every day we have to deal with many unforeseen situations at work, because in reality anything can happen during a shift. The pandemic took us all by surprise, we had to find our way in a completely new reality. Medical workers were burdened with even greater responsibilities than before. The worst thing, however, was that we had to fight an unknown enemy – an unknown virus.

On November 29-30, 2019, the Faculty of Social Sciences of the WSPiA Branch in Nowy Tomyśl hosted a visit by the Evaluation Team of the Polish Accreditation Committee, chaired by Rev. Dr. Hab. Tadeusz Stanisławski. The visit was part of a procedure aimed at evaluating the program of the Administration course offered at the Branch in Nowy Tomyśl. In accordance with the applicable regulations specifying the principles of supervision over higher education institutions, the Polish Accreditation Committee, as a result of the inspection, grants permission to offer the course of study for the next 5 years.

The reflections that arise in connection with these events naturally refer to patriotism… The times in which many people lived, who were later called patriots, can certainly be called times that have been recorded in our history and the history of the world.

Identity is self-awareness, it combines features, personal data that allow for the identification of a person. In relation to a social group, it is awareness of common features and a sense of unity. We are often asked by nice gentlemen (usually dressed in tasteful navy blue uniforms) for an “identity card”. But this identity is something much deeper and more important than we think.

Because on the one hand, the knowledge acquired within these walls is a solid foundation for building a professional career. On the other hand, it is during the period of studies that the most lasting friendships and community bonds are formed. During lectures, camps or internships, we all get to know each other better and create our small academic community.
